Nursing care services
The home provides residents with a staffed nursing service staffed by a director, manager, coordinator, nurses, practical nurses, care attendants (orderlies), rehabilitation attendants and office clerks. Doctors make regular medical visits and are available on call.
The services of a pharmacist, a nurse from the mental hygiene clinic and certain professionals from the Extra-Mural program are available for specific cases.
A foot care service is available. Associated costs are the responsibility of the resident or family.

The home offers palliative care. The care team encourages the participation of loved ones during this stage of life. The home has two rooms reserved for palliative care.
Rehabilitation
A consultation service with the Extra-mural program’s professional team is available to carry out assessments on request, and follow-ups are carried out by the rehabilitation attendants who are part of our team. The nurse initiates the request after medical consultation.
Food Service
Bon Appétit
The aim of the food service is to offer a pleasant, enjoyable and safe meal service to all our residents, as close as possible to that of home. 3 meals and 2 snacks are offered daily. The three meals of the day are served in the dining rooms of each unit, providing a warmer atmosphere and allowing residents to socialize during mealtime. The meals offered at the home are based on local eating habits and also take into account the preferences, tastes and requests of our residents. Menus are posted in each section of the home for residents and families.
Dietetic Service
Dietetic service
A clinical nutrition service is offered to all residents, to meet their nutritional needs. All nutritional interventions are in line with dietetic standards in long-term care, under the supervision of a dietician.
A rotating menu takes into account therapeutic diets, allergies, intolerances, dysphagia, tastes and resident preferences, while following Canada’s Food Guide. The menu is also modified for special holidays, festivals and seasonal food availability.
A nutritional assessment is performed following admission, and regular follow-ups are carried out to ensure that nutritional needs are being met. The dietitian works in collaboration with the physician, nurse and other team members to ensure quality service. Dietary changes are communicated to the resident, family, physician and other staff as required. The dietitian works in collaboration with the food service manager on menu planning.
